Can you guys take a look at these pictures and let me know the proper place to run the brake cable to anchor it to the brake..?

Pic 1 is through that washer piece, pic 2 & 3 are the same (inside) and pic 4 is outside. Anchoring it down on the side of the bolt looks awkward though as the brake cable is resting/touching upon the actual frame of the brake mechanism..

Important to notice that all 4 pics are different.

Pic #1 is correct. The cable is under the square-ish washer, and it is running along the shallow groove on that arm that rotates.

Sorry, yes, I took 3 variations..but thank you..I don't see a shallow groove on the bb7, but I assume it will run just like #1, with the cable resting on that tip section.

The shallow groove is under the cable in this position. It's intended to help keep the cable on that section of the rotating arm, so that it pulls correctly.

Ok, well, I assume it's on that groove..I have already set the tension.

I've been looking at various videos on YT in regards to adjusting the calipers/brake pads. I decided to use the method of loosening the caliper mounts (sorry for the lack of proper nomenclature here) and then tightening the pads against the disc and then re-tightening the caliper mounts.

I'm trying to maintain the 1/3 to 2/3 spacing ratio between inside the disc and pad, BUT seriously is this really that critical? The disc seem to be slightly warped, just slightly, and there is slight rubbing, but I'd assume after riding the bike a few times the disc and pads will wear and then all will be good?

Am I being to lax about the spacing integrity between the brake pads and disc? I'm just eyeballing everything and if the wheel turns fairly smooth - ride it..

It's been a while since I had to ride on them (and adjust them), but I think you're doing fine. I don't think the spacing ratio is too critical...it all comes down to how the brakes and wheels are working for you. If you don't feel any problems (like excess drag), don't hear any problems (unnecessary or unusual noises), and they stop you well enough, then you probably have nothing to worry about. On the other hand, if you just want to spend some time tinkering to find that "ideal" setup, it's easy on the BB7's, and you're not going to hurt anything by experimenting to try to find that sweet-spot of performance.

The disc is probably not warped. Your wheel is probably not spinning true.

What you can do about the spacing is put a business card between the pad and rotor before adding tension and tightening the caliper bolts.
