There was a video of an otb on the luge 23 seconds long and now i cant find it??? it was just up and it was in the rider down forum
Strange. I posted a response to it earlier. Maybe the mods didn't like the the word sh** in the title? Maybe they didn't like the gruesome aftermath of the accident - oh wait, there wasn't even a scratch. :?:
I was responding to the thread and it asked me to notify the mods if there was a problem,so thats why i did this thread.
Fellas, the MODs had nothing to do with the thread being deleted. Earlier today, the guy in the video thought I was putting him on the spot and painting the the wrong picture. He asked that I take the video down along with the photos. Out of respect for my friend, I asked our MODs to take the thread down. To My Friend, I'm sorry for making you feel as though I was putting you on blast and making you feel as though I was making fun of you. In all honesty, that was never my intention. Like I told you from the onset, it was just comical that before we started the downhill run that I said "feel free to eat sh*t at any point" and then you coincidentally happen to do so. Me posting the pictures were to highlight that you made it out alright after taking what looks to be a pretty nasty spill. Again, I apologize for making light of the situation and I'm sincerely glad you made it out alright. I really hope that you don't hold a grudge over this because in this sport we're all going to kiss mother earth at some point or another. It's just a matter of whether or not it was done on camera. Jonathan. P.S. For what it's worth, to your request I made sure I played Pearl Jam in your couple seconds of fame.
man, that is a bummer your friend took it the wrong way. i know my friends would have done the exact same thing (post a video, pix, comments), and they never would let me live it down for at least a year!!!
Thanks guys for the feedback, I hope that by seeing your guys' responses he'll see that I was only just messing around and not making it personal. Eating sh*t is only a natural part of the game.
It was a good vid! Shows what a good friend you are for posting it, shows what a better friend you are for taking it down out of respect of your friendship.
Yeah if the person is not seriously injured I would agree posting video is cool. If they are seriously injured I think it's up to them if it's posted.
I post videos of ALL my buddies when they crash and when i dont get it on camera they usually get mad  This one was good
what i was going to say to the original post was how nice it is to see how (we my self included) have done this same otb, to far off line and then wait for it and there it is some really good front brake and dont forget that great balance that we all have learned to get at the wrong time. This is the kind of post i would love to see of me.Dave (Emcil) has one of me but its to far away to really see. Hope your buddy comes around and shares his fun.
It was more of a joke. I have had a concussion, broken elbow, broken wrist, knocked out several teeth on two occasions (although one was too young to really count), 20 odd stitches over my eyebrow. But I guess serious injuries are relative and while none of them was truly life threatening, they did wind me up in the hospital. As a kid, when I was injured, my mom would first take several photos before we could leave to the emergency room and I think they are wonderful mementos to look back on. If someone filmed any of these injuries, I would be proud to have them displayed, except the time I lost a toenail, that was just too creepy. Wear the scars of doing what you love with prestige.
Crashing is just a part of mountain biking. I personally think a good friendship entails trying to crash somebody on the loop. Which, of I remember correctly, I did to brownie a few months ago :lol:
