Beer: I'm really into Maudite these days. It's an amazing French Canadian beer with some coriander in it.

Wine: I'm back into this Zinfandel Port from TJs. Small bottle. This stuff is amazing! Not quite as good as this Tawny we got in some tiny little town in South Africa.

Scotch: I'm drinking The Balvenie Double Wood but want to get a bottle of Lagavulin 16 year scotch.

+1 on Maudite. La Fin du Monde is yummy too.

Drinking a Fat Tire now as it's the only bottle left in the fridge. Maybe wifey will bring home some good brew from Whole Foods...

Bastard right now, Ruination in the Freezer (none in the cooler at the store) and a 12 pack of Guiness in the fridge. I only have until 9:00 to enjoy it because I have to have blood work done in the morning.

    the blood of the vine

I'm switching over to a Zinfandel from Vampire Vineyards, owned by a friend of mine. Halloween's around the corner - order up your Vampire & Dracula reds!

    2005 Dracula Zinfandel
The Master's masterpiece, this zinfandel is big, rich and expressive! This wine is full of deep plum flavors that lead to cracked pepper & spices, with a refined texture and concentration. On the palate it is robust and yet elegant, finishing with polished tannins.

If you like that try Dales Pale Ale at 6.5% which is a similar style beer but tastier.

For a more hoppy/complex canned beer try Gordon by Oskar Blues at 8.7%. It's quite good.

Both available at Bevmo (unless they're out) and Whole Foods sometimes.

Funny, I was just talking about that Anderson Valley IPA Hop ottin' just last Thursday at Roscoes. Found it had a great taste with Sage in the air from a thunderstorm after an awesome afternoon fishing up at Hot Creek near Mammoth a few years back.
