That's exactly what I've been prattling on about! Yay - we agree on that point!!! How is that new TR-450? Sounds like you're getting used to its slackitude. Enjoy some runs on Freight Train for me - it was my fave last time I was there.

Chris... I'll be up there beating myself up again on Sunday! Anyone else going look for the slow guy on a yellow/black Demo 8 wearing a green jersey and backpack.

    http://www.bigbearmountainresorts.com/summer/2013/07/trail-update/

As many now know the new Westridge Trail is open! A wider and slightly longer route that has great flow! It is a blue/ intermediate level run that has some advanced features including three table tops, a rhythm section, and back-to-back step-downs.Now that our three trails for the summer are established, the Trail Crew will begin going through the trails to rebuild berms, add features, and fix zones that receive a lot of wear and tear. Trail Crew has ordered more pavers to reinforce zones that do not hold up well. They have already completely rebuilt a set of S-turns on Miracle Mile that required almost 200 pavers and some serious labor. The result: a fast, smooth and more “flowy” section of the trail. Other trail updates include an alternate route around the entrance of Westridge which allows you to bypass the bridge drop and table tops. Also part of the lower table top was adjusted so lower level riders can role over the jump and advanced riders can air it. Plus a completely reshaped berm on mid-Westridge makes the rhythm section much faster and more fun!A big thanks to Trail Crew for building and maintaining the bike park. More updates and new features coming soon!

Nice! It's neat having this develop/evolve.

I happened to be up there watching the action last weekend (not riding) and noticed fully 75% of the riders coming off the lift going toward Cruiser/Westridge...Miracle Mile was looking empty on a fine Saturday.

Personally I enjoyed MM most. It did put me in my place but I felt I had the most fun there.

They knocked down the last table on Westridge. It must've been "jacking" too many people up......

Pretty good shape all in all. The added a little step-up to step-down on cruiser. the other tables are still there, they just knocked down that last one as the trail ends.

Was up there Sat and Sunday with my son, and the conditions were good. They are doing a great job maintaining the trails, there's a small amount of berms that are soft, but even those are in better condition from a few weeks ago.

Also, there's a couple of small stepped table-top (don't know how to describe it...) feature they added on Crusier. Also, I don't know if it was just me, but Westridge seemed to be a lot more flowy then before.

    Have fun!

..but dont you have to ride Cruiser partially to get to Westridge? Or was I just unaware of another trailhead for Westridge?

Man that last Hip/Table on Westridge was so much fun and was really disappointed when i came up to that section and it was gone

The easy way is on the left side as the lip is higher , if you do the one on the right you have to hit the berm perfect and pump over the roller to make it
overall its a pretty safe jump

I hear they are watering the trails early in the morning so it packs in as the day goes by.

And thanks I definitely will have fun. Sans injuries and rubber down I hope :)
