my dh bike is two weeks from being rideable. just need to rebuild the rear shock, waiting on tools and a seal kit.

wanted to know if anyone wanted some company and guide for an experiencesd rider with no dh experience.

lemeknow, preferably within 50 miles of west la.

IMO. If your experienced then your good to go. You might have to practice slowing down though. PICS ????

I could take you for a couple of runs, if you trust me (maniacal laughter). I hear there's a super secret DH trail in Laguna that nobody has ever heard of. If you need me to loan you my spare FF helmet this time, you are out of luck.

Bing - if you enjoyed 5-Oaks and dropped all of the small drops (rather than rolling them or avoiding them), you can handle the super-secret DH trail I have in mind. If 5-Oaks was a challenge, then you might want to work up to the super secret trail I have in mind.

My shuttle driver won't be able to shuttle that weekend, so we either need a 3rd person or a designated driver. I have a buddy who might join us, so that would take care of it. I only have capacity for three bikes. Since this seems to be a two-person thread, we can switch to PM.

Uh oh... A few local boys are trying to jump on the Bing initiation ritual. :bang:

Given that organizing shuttles is a pain in the arse, I am not organizing this ride. I offered to show Bing a trail and I can carry three bikes - mine, Bing's and my buddy N8's. If y'all wanna join in, cool, it would be great to see you again, but I'm not organizing it. There is another DH newb who has PM'd me who says he can carry up to 7 bikes. I'll let him do the inviting, if he wishes to expand the group.

Regardless, I will post the time and day so you can come show Bing the brightness of the dark side. I'm the tall guy on the team turquoise Yeti with a guy with a similar Yeti and another guy with a shiny new raw Intense. Perhaps if we see you, you can show us some alternate dirt as well. Maybe we could rip down Cholla on our DH sleds! (j/k)

Hold your horses, for I see trouble in my schedule on the horizon. My "definitely" meter just got dropped to 60% likely. Perhaps Garrett or Kriller can take over the honors if I have to bail out. My hesitancy is based on my wife's recovery from surgery - which isn't going so well at the moment.

Sorry to hear that Herz. If things don't work out I'd be down to take over as tour guide. How does next Sunday AM work? My Element can shuttle 3 people, driver included. Been hankerin' for a good shuttle day in Laguna before the trails get even more burly...

Sorry to hear Chris - many prayers for heeling for her and God speed to you both, great getting to catch-up quickly with you this weekend trailside.
