i like this section of the home page because it serves as a good reminder and also like a mini-calendar. but the way it is now events for the current day don't show up (they slough off the night before), so it might cut down on people signing up at the last minute. just a thought...
The Upcoming Events window has a bug. If the event is on a particular date then it is listed one day too early. If the event is a series continuing from a particular date then the day is correct. (so the event is dropped because it is in the past(!))
There's also a thing where sometimes it shows the wrong date Bit of technical difficulty on it too because the control panel that lets me change the PHP there doesn't seem to work after the recent vBulletin 4.05 -> 4.07 update. Gotta figure that out and then iron out the homepage calendar issues.
