I am hoping to get a ride in while visiting family in the Pasadena area. Can anyone tell me if the Brown/El Prieto trails are open?

The San Gabes are like the Norm's restaurant of singletrack-they (almost) never close! It takes something big like the Station Fire to shut down the ANF.
    Conditions are perfect right now.

I would but I'm restricted to fireroads right now due to a concussion I got a couple of weeks ago. Enjoy some of the best front range stuff around. Have fun, be safe.
