Look at the other riders in the background laughing. Doesn't matter if Lance doped or not, that dude had it coming.

Oh I saw Zap out there today. We were walking towards the festival. Kind of hard to miss that guy. Said hi and told him I liked the mag (Road Bike Action) and that it is a good read. Nice guy.

I have to admit I laughed earlier in the week when he was jabbing at Tyler's twin on that breakaway...

(On a serious note, I think you can make a case for this guy, the fat guy with the fake afro, and the guy with the horns to be shipped off to a desert island somwhere to die of exposure...what a bunch of useless assholes.)

Also rode over to Pasadena from my cousins' place in Alhambra (~4miles one way) and caught the leaders just as they were starting the first loop around the Rose Bowl.

it really boils my blood how far some people will go to try to first off get their face in the papers, and secondly try to interfier with a race to make a (statement) more like a hazard. and ive been reading on other sites how mad people were that lance did that, i personally laughed so hard cause that guy had it coming, lance has done so much not only for the sport, but for cancer patients everywhere. my hat goes off to him, and for people to say how he should be sued for assault just makes me sick. but hey thats just my .02 cents.

I made it on VeloNews. Late in the Stage 7 coverage they interview Levi about the climb up Palomar. You can see me move into the background in my UCI vest and orange volunteer shirt. I moved over behind him specifically so I would be in the background. Looks like it worked.

The interview is at 10:12 in the video.

I'll try to get a better link. It's the video for Stage 7.

Syringe-man (or was it a chick) kinda had a spooky "Pat" SNL look about him/her. The costume was great, but by the look of where he/she was running he/she may have been a potential danger to the racers. I wonder how many fans historically get pushed out of the way because of their stupidity - drunk, running with a freight train, dodging other idiots trying to stay with the pack????? I was up at Clear Creek Rd. tried to get to Mill Creek but the CHP turned us back after we had desended about 4-5 miles (that sucked!). Got a cow bell and a poster, some chalk and blurry pictures! Sweet!

El Salt, I don't think they rode on Big Tujunga Canyon. They went over Mill Creek Summit which means they were on Angeles Forest Highway (2) to Angeles Crest Highway. Eitherway it's not a big deal. Great photos!!!

Yep, got ya. We where on Angeles Forest, just above Tujunga (about 500m).

This black and white is reaslly really good. You should sell it to one of the mags.

As for the LiveClean hemaphrodite (sorry all you other hemaphrodites out there - didn't mean to insult you), I did get a laugh when I watched him/her get shoved into the snow, but I had no idea Lance did the pushing. Go Lance! These picks are really worth another laugh. The hemaphrodite deserved it well.

I know nothing about road racing but, because of this thread, I signed up as a volunteer and worked Pasadena as a Course Marshal. What I learned: Folks are going to get in the way no matter what you say and do. The only thing I did of value was hold onto a dog who slipped his leash and wanted to join the Pelaton.

The next day Cowboy, Stacy, Mauric6943 and I rode up Lake Wohlford Road to Palomar and up Palomar. There were so many spectators! Why wasn't this covered by the news? Or was it? And what a festival. Since we were riding up we got a lot of attention and heckling, I might add, when a guy on a BMX passed us:lol:

We had a Manny sighting by the Taco joint.

Stacy and Mauric6943 went a couple miles farther up but Cowboy and I stopped on Palomar midway, where the road goes left, watched them go up. The 4 of us then rode down to the Y and watched them go down. At 3:45 we started back down the road. It was bikers vs. cars and the bikers were faster than the cars for once. Plus, the cars were bike-friendly, which sometimes translated to bike safe but not always.;)

What a beautiful ride. The countryside is gorgeous. I recommend this route to everyone.
