So after talking to many about the condition of this trail, i decided i would do trail work. I called up ryan (chauvanist_youth) and we went there today planning to build a ladder and clean some brush out of the overgrown trails. We cleaned up some of the jumps and little connecting trails from the un used jumps, then got to the ladder.

    We started with this

Ok, by the end of the few hours, we had this,... we ran out of wood, and got hungry, so we will finish another day sometime soon. The drop is about 5.5 feet tall.
note that we only set it up for pics to get an idea of how it would look... we ran out of wood so we have to finish it...l its now hiding in a bush like it doesnt exist... :D

And on the way out, i couldnt help but test out the Dirt jump thats intended for practicing 360's.... of course i only jumped it though.

Oh, and its either a ghost town now, or everyone has been cleaning up their mess finally since we went with Sharky last time.
There was basically No trash today. :bang:

We will go about making supports for it, but as said, i ran out of wood so we got stuck just throwing it up for pics.

Looks like the plank drop could use a little bit more reinforcing.. Nice job.. and it looks like your off to a good start. Make sure to post pics of yourself launching off it when your done building it.

Can people not read. Those pictures are just an idea of what the height and width will be in the end. Seriously, were not jumping a ladder that is supported by a rake.

I was gonna hit it, but then as i was gaining speed, the wind blew the rake over and the wood fell, so i slammed on the brakes, narrowly avoiding eating Shi****. :D

Put a string on the rake and pull it just as one of your buddies goes for the big drop. Laugh your ass off all the way to the ER!

That WAS one of my favorite jumps there!

    WTF?

    It looks terrible now.

    Why? Why? Why?

There was nothing wrong with that jump! It was perfect!

By using the position of the clouds and other clues I now know where the secret trail trail is. As soon as I get a Downhill bike I'll post a ride with directions for everybody. (just kidding).

I would hit that two times with or without the rake supporting it. Ha Ha

Next time you should photoshop a pic of before and after its less work and a lot safer.
It's time to start rounding up wood to make a safe drop. Right now it looks a lot like a blare witch tree. Ha Ha

Great motivation guys I can't wait to see it when its done.

(( PLEASE DON'T OBSTRUCT THE JUMP TO THE RIGHT OF YOUR LADDER DROP ))

took that into consideration while we were there today, we are going to clear a new landing or curve the ladder to you have to drop sideways or whip it over...

what keeps that stuff from not being torn down? I wondered that last time I was out there after seeing stuff in a few other places torn down. I need to demo a dh bike and go try out the small stuff there.

Yea, were thinking about curving it and making it hip in. Totally dont want to screw up what might be someone elses favorite jump. if someone tore down the small ladder drop right before this, Id be PISSSSSED haha

EDIT: BLARRRGGG, brandon the post whore beat me to it xD haha

The owner is cool with it..
The other trail is the one we had issues with, we just have a limit as to what property we can build what on..
I may be getting a new bike here soon, if i do and i dont sell my current DH bike, you're more than welcome to ride it around Here..
You'll be surprised at how easy everything is... its just intimidating
