No one has been up there yet to clear land slides. Jeff and I were talking about going up there tonight if our Wife's Permit! haha so we will be able to give you better detail tomo. As of now Jeff has informed me that landslides are still in need of clearing.

I rode The Luge last night and Whiting today. For all you tech fans rock gardens, sand pits and ruts are in full effect at Whiting. Stay on your toes at The Luge the flow lines, berms and rock gardens shifted from the recent rains. The gnar is back!

Land slides have been cleared, and cactus has been removed from the upper area of the trail. Dirt is too dry to work with, today was the last day to do any work, until we get some more rain. Overall the luge is in prime shape and ready to ride! Thanks Boaz for the excellent work and some new tools!!

Rode the Luge today and loved it. Thanks to Pezman.

Borrego is pretty sandy, don't count on any PR's there.

Just an FYI there is a bee hive in the alcove of this rock a little more than half way down, walked by it twice and didn't have any problems. It must be a pretty large hive because there were what seemed like more than 100 bees at the entrance and it was very loud.

I rode the Luge tonight after work and it looks like someone didn't waste any time after last nights rain!!! A few of the sections seemed to be cleaned up a bit. Not completely sanitized, just cleaned up a few of the rougher areas that were still wet. The dry areas appeared to be left alone. I don't know who did it (Is Kioti still around?), but I appreciate it.

    You got me.

Yes, I took advantage of the recent rainfall and did some clean-up work. Jeff and I hope to get out there again next week, if it rains. Our goal is to smooth the brake bumps, clean up the berms and fill some ruts.

My email's <[email protected]> for anyone who'd like to help.

Only Kioti can lure me out of the shadows on this shell-of-a-site. Thanks for your work as always Jim! We have some more to do in Aliso this winter when it rains. You know how to reach me.

So many trails, so little time!

Don't worry, Chris, I haven't forgotten about Aliso, especially Meadows! I'll post something in the "MmmmmMeadows" thread if we get enough rain. That trail needs a good soaker to be workable, so Luge first then we'll see what happens.

    Meanwhile, back to the shadows?

    Kioti,

Your Maintenance does not exist in Vegas. I was speaking with another MTBer this morning. Tons of existing/fresh trails to be cleaned up and such, so they rely on people to ride these path's less chosen- continuously.

Thought of you right away = )

Funny thing, he only had one ARM. with Zero Mods to the bars- Granted, he did have a prosthetic arm with a dual hook making contact with the bars!

    Killer.

That's cool, Mario. Hope it's going well for you out there. BTW, does everyone ride with cowcatchers to clear off the rocks? ;)

I moved a big rock today. The one about 1/3 of the way down, on the right side of the trail below a drop. Always looked like a leg breaker to me, so I sledge hammer and rock barred it into a future reinforcement position for a bigger berm. Super fun!

    2 things..

Please don't ride the Luge until this storm passes through. I hiked up there this morning, chopped a whole lot of drains, and made temporary dams to push the run-off into the drains. The dams are soft, and tires will ruin them and cause lots of rutting.

Second, if this storm doesn't cause lots of damage, I'm hoping to clean it up by the weekend. I can't do it myself and would appreciate some help. Please email me at <[email protected]> if you're available Thursday or Friday. If you ride and don't do trail work on a regular basis, this would be a great time to give back.

    Thank you,
    Jim
