I just got off the phone with Chewy. It turns out the MRI revealed there is nothing wrong with him. The nurse gave him a bitch slap, called him a pussy and sent him home with a sucker. not really, but one can hope right? Here's hoping for a speedy recovery.
Good news: Didnt fubar it up too bad, can have arthroscopic surgery Bad news, broke more bone off the ball, tore more cartilage and did a number on some stuff. Surgery 3/10 - 3 Month back to normal... hello trainer time
Are you gonna ride the fixie on the trainer? If so, I can let you borrow some of my sister's pants...
good to hear chewster. well, surgery is never good to hear, but at least it's not CRAZY surgery. my offer still stands on teaching you to homebrew
Hope for a speedy recovery! I'm currently on crutches and out for the 3 month period. I had orthoscopic surgury on my knee and the list that was wrong with it was extensive!
well, first time ive felt like hopping on the 'pooter. Surgery went well. Doc found more crap to fix while he was spelunking around inside my shoulder cavity. Should be good as new when its all healed up. pain meds sucks. stopped taking them after 2 days - hated the zombie feel and hated sleeping all day. Down to just the ice pump and advil... I see the ortho surgeon this week, so hopefully i start PT next week. Im seriously bored out of my skull
Healing up is the name of the game right now. You will be back in the saddle soon enough. Keep us posted with updates.
Usually after a couple months of physical therapy I end up being in better shape than prior to being injured, as I'm in the gym a lot more. But other than that, look at the silver lining, you can focus on other activities like brewing beer. Maybe you mark and brian can start your own micro brew.
he speaks the truth. I think I'm going to be brewing some IPA later this week. if you wanna come watch, I'm trying something new, so it could get entertaining
