I give two thumbs up to the guys from The Bicycle Tree: http://www.thebicycletree.org/. My CrossCheck was having some issues. A big one was that I couldn't shift rings and before that a couple of gears were slipping. Anyhow, I stumbled across the group above on Meetup and decided to pedal over today from the coast. They did right by me. Behind some little shop called The Path Less Traveled they have this little co-op setup the last Saturday of the month. They through my bike on the stand, replaced my cable, tweaked my RD, and fixed my brake lever. I donated $10 for their time. They said that people can come and use their tools and stand or they will help out like they did me. I thought it was cool and way cheaper than a shop rate and they explained to me what they were doing while they did it.
