Ok, so I generally use the "Thanks" button for posts that I like. For instance: you write something witty or funny or that just makes me smile. So I hit "Thanks".

Is this the general consensus on what the "Thanks" button is for? :-k

I normally only thank MTB related posts unless I find the post very funny or helpful.

Aside from just the ones you "like", I usually thank those post I agree with or feel their post contributed to STR in anyway like giving good advice on training, info on trails(conditions, how to get there, mileage, etc), knowledge about bike issues like how to bleed brakes, fix shifting issues.., etc.

I also thanks those who do great ride reports, took the time to post some pics and give a good overall report of the ride and trails ridden. Those who have done RR's know the time it took to post them, do a write up, load pictures not to mention stopping mid ride or descent to take the pics.

There used to be a "most thanked" column on the right hand side of the home page. I believed it showed the top 10.
