I just can't understand why you would eat at McDonalds instead of Del Taco. There's clearly something wrong with you.

    What, don't like Mcdonalds?

I think almost everyone has made purchases that are not the smartest, and I have too. I chocked it up to experience and moved on.
But hey, the wheels will outlast the burger, and be a lot more fun.

I've been biting my proverbial tongue, but here's a little salvo at Revo...

The owner is an extremely negative person who does not ride and does not value customers nor his employees. I have stories to tell, but I will leave it at that.

I went to Revo a lot when their Dana Point store was open, but mostly when the owner wasn't around and I could get treated appropriately by some great employees (that were treated like crap). I don't expect giveaways - I just expect to be valued as a customer.

Revo has no soul and will not survive. Make sure when you buy their closeout bikes, you don't try to return them with buyer's remorse.

I shall now return to my normally positive state of being. Carry on!

McDonalds would be a second purchase you would come to regret.

I have heard the same thing from former employees who are/were members of STR. THe owner is not a cyclist and has a gigantic chip on his shoulder for one reason or another (maybe he drives a lifted truck with truck nuts...just speculating;) I feel bad for the people who work there because I've ridden w/ employees and even mangers who really wanted to make the shop what it should be but the consensus seems to be that the owner feels there's enough dough in it to run the business and not give a shit about the cycling community.

I was in the market for a Pivot bike and saw that Revo has one on closeout. I went into the store and was greeted by the owner, a chubby guy who obviously doesn't ride. I asked him why he stopped being a Pivot dealer. He motioned opening the door and kicking his foot out and said with a smirk, "Pivot bikes don't sell so I got rid of them". Then he showed me a 2009 Pivot Firebird with XT level parts and said I could have it for $4000 the whole bike and $2000 for the frame. Why does he think I would buy a 3 year old frame for more than the retail price of a 2012 frame? I gave him a low ball offer just to piss him off. This guy has no clue.

I hear Bike Religion is opening a store where Revo closed.. I am not familiar with them, but a glance at their website looks like they are also high priced and somewhat limited in what they offer.. not sure they will do any better in the location..

Why McD's? Top ramen is the college students food of choice! With how much money you spend at Mcd's on one meal, you could eat Top ramen for 2 weeks. All the extra money can go to school.
