Even though my first passion is BMX, I have just as much fun racing and riding mountain bikes. I enjoy climbing as much as descending. I'd rather ride short travel bikes and hard tails than big hit bikes. A group of STR members have been hounding me about building an all mountain bike for months... As you can see, the pressure got to me..

My goal- fast climber, good descender, comfortable on long rides, I also wanted it to be light (quality parts nothing crazy). Mission accomplished. The only thing I plan on adding is a dropper seat post!

nice stuff mike. now get rid of the weight weenie tires and put some real rubber on that thing. this ain't no BMX track, you need knobs!

That's a sweet looking ride. I definitely got my fair share of oggling in at the clinic as well. the new XTR stuff is pimp.

    I could!

Yes, that is one fine looking bike. The pictures don't do it justice, saw it at the clinic too. Looks better in person, hope to see it on the trails soon.

BTW, thanks Mike for the deal on the GoPro!

Beautiful bike! I've been lusting after that frame this year. The only thing I can't seem to wrap my mind around is the decision by Giant to not have ISCG (old or 05), or at least a threaded bottom bracket shell so that one might have the option of a chain guide/1x10(9) setup.
