Space rode well today after an hour of hard rain. No moisture on the trail, some on the foliage so when every I tapped the edge I got a little splash. The sandy areas were all buffed up leaving the tracks of 10 or so riders up before me. We are expecting more rain at any time so the trail may soften on Sunday. It is wicked hard and fast right now. It was also empty which is just an added bonus since there was nobody to slow me.
    Happy trails

I rode yesterday during the sunlight since it looked like more rain at any time. A rare occurrence for me, riding in sunlight. I climbed and dropped space and had so much fun. Since it was light out I carried more speed and got more air than usual. Six minutes later I got so excited, ended up going back up and then dropping again. This time I was taking small air in between the big jumps and ended up going off the trail dropping one knee into the backside of a soft berm. That is what I get for trying to fit more into a descent than one is supposed to do. After that I concentrated more on the trail instead of getting air off the misc bumps. This was a ride after the rain, and on Saturday many peep's went out and scared the trail with their wimpy 650B-29er lugs. Once up on the switchbacks the tire scaring stopped and Space lived up to its rain shedding glory.
