Any of you guys apart of the Southridge Winter Series? http://www.southridgeusa.com/index.php http://www.southridgeusa.com/images/WinterSeries2013flyer.pdf
Alot of people man. Whenever you hear some one saying their racing fontana its this series. I hear its a really fun course. An easier dh course but more technical xc course ( for eachs catergories). I might try and do an enduro, but not sure yet.Its a fun series and if your a memeber you save.
sounds good. good chance i'll be down for at least one race. work and being completly out of shape both suck
someday I'll be able to tell the boss, " I quit! " but right now I don't really have that option .. I'm going to try to hit the 4 or of 5 race requirement. I haven't been in the game for over 5 years so I'm think I'll be rolling in the beginners category. the Jan 26th/27th weekend I'm going to have to miss due to work
I've never raced anything before but it sounds like it would be kind of fun. Most likely see you out there for one - thanks for the reminder link.
I have done Fontana three years in a row (DH - Sport). Family conditions will require that I skip most of them this year. Have fun out there - It's great to spend time with 350 like-minded people, and every once in a while, some DH royalty shows up (Gwin, Atherton, Hannah, Beaumont and upstarts Mulally and Ropelato). Also Fontana regular Logan Binggeli is making a name for himself (like first backflip in competition on a 650b bike at Rampage, and one time national DH champion). I will miss it this year. Let's have some STR representation out there!
I'm proud that I ride on one of the most notorious suspension designs created by the mastermind of Mr. Merit Lawwill! the bike freaking rocks! tilll the derailleur hanger breaks then I can upgrade to a Jedi which also has a similar suspension design
I've done many random straight8 picture searches and i must say i'v always liked yours when it popped up! I don't expect to win any awards but I'll try to get my old tired ass out on the hill!
because I'm WAY out of shape I raced beginner class... got 11th out of 15. I need to start running and sprinting more!.. not tooooo shabby I think though after a 5 year hiatus on a 13yr.old bike! Goals were met, get to the bottom without falling and not to come in DFL!
