For those of you who ride a Single Speed, what tire combination would you recommend? Price is a factor, so nothing more than $40.00 a tire. What is a good front and a good rear tire combination for good traction on our loose trails?

Kenda Karma 1.9 or 2.2 there are a variety of these that come in a cheaper wire bead, DTC or L3R, ranging from 1.9 to 2.2.

The Maxxis Minion SS, though I never tried it, looks promising. Unfortunately they do not cover your $40 budget, they are like $60 each. The middle of the tire looks like a Small Block 8 or Maxxis IKON but the sides are burly enough to take corners like a pro.
