My new Waltworks Custom, hand-built in Utah, waited about 6+ months for this frame. The front half is True-Temper Supertherm, and the rear-end is Ventana Aluminum, weighs about 7.5lbs with shock.

Geo is: 67 HA, CS 17.0", BB Height 13.6", 145+mm travel with a Fox CTD-adjust. White Brothers Loop @140mm w/ custom decals. Also I'm running On-One Chunk Monkeys 2.4", re-badged Maxxis tires w/ EXO protection, one of the best deals for tough aggro 29'er tires at $30 shipped.

Pics are a bit washed out, might update if I ever learn how to take better photos:

Updated photos, after riding this beast for over a month, put a wider bar on it and switched back Rogue grips, didnt like the narrow Ruffians anymore.

On the Walt, why steel? I understand on a HT for the feel and compliance, but, with FS it seems that would be nullified. Beautiful bike, just wondering.

Thats because Walt only builds with steel. But I also tend to favor steel bikes, as I own two Surlys for now.

But, I might put down another deposit, for something a bit different, like a short-travel, slack-angled 650b next. Or maybe not, cause that new Surly Instigator looks nice as **** too.

Wow! You must be 7'+ tall? That head tube length, and the spacing between the top tube and down tube makes me think this is a XXL (or more).

Assuming that shock is a 7.875 model, looks like a 23" seatpost.

Very close...24 seat tube and 27 top tube. 7feet even, but it is the 260 lbs plus the height that has led to 8 broken frames so far...

    Went with 67 degree hta

Riiz, I LOVE the Waltworks! How does it ride?

So far its been amazing, Walt who did the sizing as well as the building really nailed the fit. The 6-7month wait time was painful, I almost threw in the towel and purchased a Prime or one of the new Niner Rip's but glad I didnt.

Next upgrade is a fork, want something with larger stancions, like the X-fusion Trace, or might even wait on the new MRP Stage, the only other thing I see being comparative to the RS Pike.

Nice! It is a beautiful frame! I seriously thought about Waltworks for both my DH and for my 29er, but am too impatient for the 7 month wait. Plus, I had the older Ventan el cap which got me 30 percent off trade in.

Had a white bros fluid 130 on the older el cap and it was waaaay too noodly for me. Would be fantastic for anybody under 200 lbs...

i am in Redlands, too. Where do u ride?
