Tomorrow is the day, trash warriors. Lower Trab Creek road has been getting used as a dump lately. Shameful. Upper Trail looks pretty good; thanks to all. Weather looks to be good enough to ride after the event? Looking forward to seeing you do-gooders and karma miners there!

Wow, what a show of force! Great job, everybody!

There had to have been a hundred volunteers and half dozen or ten pickups, everyone grouping up and attacking various points along the canyon. Calling this a trash cleanup is selling the effort short. Furniture, car parts, construction rubble--you name it, it was loaded onto trucks and moved to O'Neill Park, where four (!) of the huge rolling dumpsters were plugged by 11:30am.

Warrior's Society and SHARE may not crow too loudly about their efforts, so I will here. It was moving to see so much volunteerism making a measurable difference at a great riding venue. It breaks down to a bunch of unselfish individuals going the extra distance for the benefit of all. It was (is still at 12:30) a hugely awesome vibe, fantastic PR for MTBers, and a massively productive effort. Huge salute to all!

^ Yes, I couldn't believe how much trash people had dumped along and in the Wash. Pretty disappointing. It was truly great the see how many people came out and how many kids were there to help clean up!

I was actually involved in a IRC ride Saturday going up Trabuco Creek to the beginning of Holy Jim trail and back. Coming back, we ran into and saw all the wonderful people (many families which was cool to see) doing cleanup. It was amazing to see all the junk that was dug out ready to be hauled away.

Thank you so much to everyone who gave up their precious time to do such a tough and dirty job. I love the area and I am happy to see people trying to keep it clean and pristine so I, and others, can keep loving it!
