Are you guys going to start a weekly ride through here? I'd love to join next week, if you don't mind riding with a girl, and that I may have to cut out early. :)

    Where were you this morning?!

Good seeing you out there this morning. Next time tell me I'm pulling too long! I thought it was too short, and i was still dying!

Not officially, but it's turning out that way. Just keep reading the roadie forum I guess and show up. I think we had 10 today.

My ride today went from weird to frustrating. Yesterday I bought 2 extra tubes, but left them in a different car this morning. The first 30 miles to the beach, no problem. Our group of 6 finds the 4 other guys at the beach and we're just sitting there taking a break and you hear a "pssssssshhh" of a tire going flat. How the hell it happened, who knows. The bike was sitting still for a good 5 minutes.

I had to borrow a tube from Dan aka Sperminator to fix it.

On the way back I'm riding solo after leaving the group of guys who started in Anaheim. Chewy, Dizle, and Sperminator are probably a good half hour behind me (they went off on some extra credit), and I get another flat. #-oNo tubes to fix it, and a couple co2 cans left, I find the hole, patch it, wait a bit and inflate. Apparently there was another hole on the other side of the tube and by the time I found it, I was down to one co2 cartridge. I threw in the first flat tube, patched it, and inflated but the patch didn't hold. I called Jay, Chewy, and Mfoga. No one answered though 2 of them were only a half mile back getting into their cars. I sat there for 20 minutes or so under the 5 fwy in the shade contemplating what to do/who to call. #-oI ended up bumming a patch and a co2 off a nice couple that was out training for some ride from SF to LA.

Good times for sure though. Here's my route

We ate at River's End Cafe in Seal Beach which took FOREVER. Riding on the bike path on the beach for however long at a slow pace wasn't too bad either. :bang:

I just got back with dizle and sperminator. Dizle got an even 100 miles, 2000 ft climb.

Dan and I got 106 Miles, 2500 Feet.

    I burned 9500 calories.
    I'm beat today.

more later.... queen mary was awesome!

I thought some of you looked familiar. I rode with my son down the SGRT and also ate at the River's End. It was that kind of day i guess, since we also ran into our neighbor who had ridden down there as well.

Damn David today was you day for flats! Really sucks that you were solo when the second one happened but it sounds like you got it going quick enough.

Highlights: Breakfast was delish, took an hour to get; Queen Mary; best portapoties known to man; way to many gatorades at 7-11 that led to a chug; Aaron yackin fatorade all over his helmete; and ummm the traffic home sucked! I'd have rather ridden my bike on the 210.

Good job to every one, esp Aaron and Dan and Aarons 3rd century on 3 weekends in a row!

Breakfast in Seal Beach then my awesome pose at the Queen Mary

Last year I had 7 centuries in 7 weeks.

I think Chewy could do 8.

Hmmm I am not sure that is worth all the people we had to deal with. I was much happier cruising up PCH. Plus at main st there was just as much eye candy.

haha...Yea everyone should get used to doing quick pulls. Better to do a short pull and stay with the group then to do a long pull and fall back.

Good ride though. I thought I was going to go home after I left you guys but I decided to climb newport coast and up Vista Ridge. I ended with 80 mi and 2700 ft. Felt like a headwind the whole way back...riding by yourself sucks! All this road riding makes me want to get a new road bike!

Are you calling me fat?:confused::p

Great RR you guys. I love the banana pancakes at River's End. If nothing else, I'll have to head out there.
