Ride Report San Sevaine/Big Tree Truck Road

Whenever I hear the word "death march" I think of the 14 hour ride we had that day, especially when we were taking a break, divvying up the food & drink and estimating how much time we had before sunset.

 

Weather was not ideal for riding on Saturday, considering the fresh snow. I didn't even make it to the radio towers. Too wet / slippery / cold / etc. I forgot how hard the first several miles are up from Lytle Creek as I usually come across from unders ridge. I have more pictures but not as intresting.

 

Thanks for the update! That climb can be relentless, let alone in the wet conditions you found. I always wonder about that singletrack cutting through the fence in your second picture...
