Another programmer PM'd me on vbulletin.org and he's working on a new solution that will integrate RSVP's and the calender like the way we used to have it. I'll keep checking and post any updates.

ok, i see that this was an issue in the past, but apparently it had been fixed. so maybe my problem is user error?? i thought i fixed my issue yesterday by setting the expire time to 1 day before the event. that seemed to fix it, but now the rsvp'ing is closed AGAIN! is this a moderator fix or something i can do? can someone educate me, please?? tks!!

oh, btw, referring to the food drive ride on 12/9. :)

Tink - If you create an event in the calendar then post a link for that event in the trailhead forum it should work. Alternatively, if someone clicks on "calendar" from the brown header near the top it should also work. Can you pm me the details with links if this does not work?

I've gotten it to work normally with the "ranged event" drop down but it might take a couple revisions to display the proper date on the homepage. It's better for all just to navigate to the date to begin with.

Ya, I don't understand how it works for some rides and not for others. I checked some of the rides on the events calendar at the bottom of the page and some are ok yet others are not. Tink, I added the link to your ride so people can click on it and it should open up the RSVP, but I guess you removed it.

    Gene,
tks, but I didn't remove anything. Craig added the RSVP link too. Looked good last I checked. I would just like to know how to do correctly in the future so I don't have to bug you guys. Tks!

I think what Craig and Disco are referring to is this brown header:

    Picture 2.png

To get to it, click calendar actions at the bottom, then "view calendar"
    Picture 3.png

this will open up the month, from there, click on "Add new ride or event" and then "Single, All day event" and it should work.

I don't mean to cut in, but the "calendar actions" button on the front page does nothing for me, been broken since the updates a few months ago. :?:
and as a matter of fact, the "create new discussion" button also is worthless for me. Maybe it's my browser?!

That's strange - it works fine for me on Firefox. What browser are you using?

the standard internet explorer, same thing I have always had. I brought it up in another thread, but it was after the site was updated and I think Geo had more important issues to deal with at the time. :-k

I just tired it with IE 8 and you never get the drop down that you do with Firefox. Same with the Create new discussion in.

Tried the "range" option. Chose 12/3 start/finish, but calendar shows 12/4. Is there a work-around?
