Well, as usual I arrived a bit late... here is an early morning (10 AM) glamour shot of my car.


The first person I ran into upon arriving was Desmond's buddy, Nick if I recall correctly. Here's nick styling a bit...


Then I ran into one of STR's own, who I tragically forgot the name of #-o here he is anyway, step forward and identify yourself!! You shred!


Not long after that, during my hike up, I saw our friend Desmond (Live_in_Hilo)


Also, Dub_XL was there with his son I believe! I didn't see much riding out of the man, but then again I was super late... the younger was doing loops though and looking smooth!


After a short while... our very own mtbboy (dennis) showed up with two friends!!


Dennis was quick to get to styling...

Dave - PMortuary was there in force... unfortunately he got a flat at one point. Luckily there was a spare tube in the group...

I forgot to mention that Julia (Julia12) was in attendance as well... although I didn't see her do much (if any!?) riding!!

 

Ummm I guess you could call it a clinic. I wasn't riding just shooting all day so no real time to help anyone... not that anybody there needed help except JULIA who I forgot to mention. Sec.

thanks for the pics phil. it was a great day out there. the overcast kept it cool, no one got hurt and it was all good times. super nice car btw, we were admiring it on the way out.

 

I had kid duty becuase I will be out of town all next week and wont be able to see them.

It was a great time out there watching everyone's awesome skillz. Julia12 did ride and did as I said. I told her to take the inside jumps. This because I didn't think she had enough protection on her. Dennis was kind enought to help her with the big jump. Maybe you missed it! I missed it because Dennis wouldn't let me watch. I am sure Julia12 would have had a better time without protective mom out there. I think I made her a little shy.

You are right Julia needed help. That's why she attended the clinic. Thou it really wasn't a clinic. It was a great time and I am sure Julia came home with more confidence for next time.

Julia was nailing one jump two other guy's were trying to clear.

Sooooo sorry you didn't see Julia's riding today.

I am sure Julia will be hitting the jumps again soon -- she loved it out there.

yeah, it takes some commitment to hit a lot of the stuff there. I still wanna sack up for the big pack by the shelter. I just look at the second double and it's effing huge...

 

I am just messing around I saw her riding and she was ready to charge everything... very admirable. Oh to be young again

Here's some video. I took the kids to the Whoops to join in the fun. The STR guys were ripping. The kids stepped up to the plate and did the gap jump for the first time.

 

That is nuts!

Awesome day today guys!! I met some really cool peeps and Phil made fun of me on multiple occasions, so I can chalk this up to a great day.

Yeah but I think yours has a cleaner look to it...I might have to drop some benjies on another set of rims since I sold my bling 19's #-o

Yea actually when I put it on the bike rack, the front triangle SPLIT IN TWO!? Then it transformed into a Turner and Steppie rode off on it. I was dumbfounded.
