Well it's been about 1.5 years since Ken (Krash) went down on Rock-it. I spoke with him last week.

He is doing well and as is his wife - both healthy. He's back at work full time now with no major ramifications from his fall. He'll probably never ride a mountain bike again (I know I wouldn't) and will probably just stick to long walks on the beach with his wife and family.

Thanks again for all the concern and well wishes. This story certainly could have had a much worse ending - I'm just happy that he's doing well now.

    Peace -

    Scott

Thanks for posting - this is the first time i have read this post. Great news but it really got me thinking today - I will be riding in a few hours.....

Sometimes i think a full face helmet might be a good idea even for more advanced XC/AM stuff

Wow that is terrible news that must have been a hard hit to cause swelling of the brain , he's lucky he didn't lose consciousness that would have been very bad , how is he doing now? ive never ridden rockit must have been a sketchy part of the ride. I send out healing vibes to him and to any rider that goes down , even the simplest of mishaps can cause great pain!

Excellent news on the update. Could have turned out much worse. However he decides to spend his time from now on, I'm sure he will be able to appreciate it much more than most people.

Thank you very much for the update. I don't know you or Ken but have been very moved by this thread and am very, very glad to read that he appears to have substantially recovered. I hope he recovers 100% from his fall. I feel awkward asking this, as I don't know you and it is a personal question but I find myself eager to find out how you are doing well with your cancer treatments and very much hoping that you are in remission? Please know that you are in others' thoughts, even those of us who don't know you personally.

    Happy...

I cant believe it has been over 1 1/2 yrs since the crash. Seemed like yesterday that I was riding in that area and posted the concern on the down rider. So many things have changed for a lot of us (work, no work, relatoinships, family, health, etc). Reading the threads shows that with determination that we can over come so many things that get thrown into our lives.

So glad that both of you are doing much better and on the road to new things. At times I wonder where I am in my life.....but reading these threads makes me realize that there is so much more to life and that we all can be happy with what we have! Our health, family, etc...

Take Care and Maybe one day we will cross paths.
