    Most of the climbing is in the first 25 miles although there are plenty of short stingers after that and Ridge Route is rough in patches but nothing that bad if you're a mountain biker. The ride is easily done without SAG as you can refill at Lake Hughes market and if you come back via Bouquet Canyon you can resupply at Leona Valley market (returning on Bouquet makes it around 85 miles I think). Since I live in Palmdale I could stash water/food at the top of Ridge Route just in case.
