The front was 9qr, they adapted them to 10mm qr axle. I run 2.0/2.2 tires, will they be too small/narrow? I'm going off the advise of the members and going to large axles in my budget... Will this ibis/stans arch be beret them what I have, cb iodine 2 and what I've had, mavic crossrideand sun ringle discjockey?

450 is my ABSOLUTE budget. Is this wheelset not best bang for my buck? I was planning to buy them tonight or tomorrow am. Please advise.

Novatec are super cheap hubs. Defiantly not an upgrade. Seriously hold your horses! Borrow someone's thru axle wheelset before throwing down your money on a wheelset, make sure that this is the cure.

I sold the CB wheelset. I know there were no problems with them, but I know I can always replace them though prodeal. My bench mark as I said is $450. Being that the king/hope is the "holy grail" where might I find this wheelset in my range? If I could chose my preferred set, king/719/dt. I've hit the net hard with no luck.

That's awesome! I checked into the sets. $430 hope pro 2evo on stans flow f/r. Great price! Question tho, I was encouraged to buy solid axle qrs, these aren't t/a. I know hope and king are the cats meow but why are the ibis/arch set being bashed? I want to do this only once and understand the value of king/hope, but is the arch/ibis set being dubbed crappy because of its origin? This forum is the only place I've found and received bad reviews on the novatec/ibis hub.... Had anyone here actually used them or is this a brand name thing? BE HONEST, I cannot afford to do this twice. I was able to talk bikeco down to 410 out the door with 9mm ta/qr front and 10mm ta/qr rear ibis hubs on arch. I'm leaning towards arch over flow because I run 2.0/2.35 at max and the with on the arch closely matches the iodine wheelset over the flow. I also found a set of ibis/flow wheelset used for $350, but it'd have to buy the front adaptors from 20mm to 9mm and the ta/qr axle. That set would ultimately cost me $400. I don't mind waiting for good product from europe, however, if its just because one hub is asian and the other is european, I could care less. I want stiffness, ease of repair and availability of parts. I'm fully prepared to pull the trigger on any of these 3, even if its waiting 2 weeks from chainreaction.

Okay, this is going to be my last comment on this thread since you refuse to listen to my warnings "of don't get ahead of yourself and first borrow a through axle wheelset before throwing money at it", or acknowledge the obvious fact that you are just too heavy for the frame at 240+lbs. Plus, I told you to adjust the caliper so it's rubbing just a little so that when you put weight back on the bike the rotor will center it self.
I seriously doubt a new wheelset is going to fix your problems for the simple fact that the mounting points will still be the same size. Plus, regardless if the wheel flexes, that will not cause your rotor to rub. but you have tunnel vision. I hope the through axle fixes your problem for you but realize every answer you got on here were purely guesses. None of us have even seen your bike to check out your setup to give you a true educated answer.

Novatec hubs are probably fine for the price but don't expect quality or durability, they are super cheap Taiwan hubs.

You sir are 100% correct. I have tunnel vision, always have always will... That being said,.I WANT TO SINCERELY THANK EVERYONE THAT HAS COMMENTED ON THIS THREAD! Just because I made a choice in a cheaper direction, I feel will help, doesn't mean for one second I didn't value your comments, be it positive or negative. I went with the novatec/ibis 10/9 T/A setup on flows. I got them used for CHEAP! I know I can sell them and profit enough to put me back on top of the game. My hookup on CB will allow me to sell the ones I had, buy the flow/ibis setup to try, re sell and buy something more brand/quality savvy. honestly, riding with my son the last 6miles proved one thing... The hubs are stiffer than the iodine ever was BUT the hoops are a tad flexier. My problem was always hub to swing arm. Ill go ride it but im not sure anyone wants to hear any results, so I'll keep my next reply to this thread short and positive and only update if its fixed.

I really thank you all, good and bad and please understand, I mean no disrespect to anyone, so don't feel like I disregarded your comments and ideas. I'll be at whiting/luge tomorrow so I'll have a good idea if its resolved. If its not, I'll have a nice long ride to kick myself for being a bonehead!

*proraptor: I thank you sir for always being honest! I have a friend in the industry that is willing to put a wheelset together for me. If these cheapo's solve my problem, I'll be going with the mavic 721 / hope pro2evo. After reading your suggestion and researching this combo, its my to build setup. Since this flow/ibis swap with my iodines put money in my pocket end of the day, I feel satisfied, work or not.

I cannot recall who first turned me onto the threw axles front and rear but I want to thank you for that advise! I had no idea they existed! In glad I bought them. I wish I had the money and patients to have bought a better setup, but I did follow this advise and im GLAD I DID.
