You know with the time change this weekend we should be able to get out there and stake out the layout during the week and maybe get everyone together friday for the hard work.

sounds like a plan. I've got monday 12-4 off, so if I could get a guy or two to help lay stuff out it'd be cool. then we'll contact the troops and start moving some dirt.

I think with this many people, and some of the hills we need to flatten a little, we'll be able to build it above grade so it's always dryish. :bang:

drop me a line guys i am local to what we are doing. ill probably check it out tomorrow night. give you an rr on the dirt and such. water is not a huge issue we just need to make trips with buckets about 100 yards.

wasn't me. probably xxmtbboyxx. lemme know how the dirt looks dennis, it seemed pretty hard on the surface, but it may have a nice juicy center to it, especially in the grassier area.

a bobcat would be sick, but not exactly low profile.

also, do you guys realise how heavy 5gal buckets of water are? and how many 5gal buckets you need to get away with trailwork?

i vote for waiting on rain (which we happen to have right now)

5 Gals. appx. 80lbs. I suggest you dig a pit line it with trashbag and collect some extra rain water while building.

just an update guys, I'm kinda holding off on the building for a couple. I've been busy with midterms and havn't been able to scout things out very well, and we also havn't had much rain.

People will be let know when the ball starts rolling.

    Water:

I have some old Arrowhead water jugs that I think are 3 gallons each.

Plus there is water run off by the tunnel that we could refill etc.

Sorry I didn't mean to pester, was bored today can't ride and was hoping for some obscene track building porn. Good luck with that. I'll go back to to looking at my old track in my backyard and figure it out on my own..
