should be pretty fast/fun. any ideas welcome (need to work another turnaround loop in somewhere)

also, anyone local to me who wants to help dig lemme know. we've got rain coming and it'll be nice

Can't see your drawing but make sure to cut some rain channels so you don't end up with epic puddles on your epic track.

Looks like a cool layout. I'd suggest adding more jumps/bumps in the middle of turns. If you've ever been out to the pump track that doesn't exist in Temecula ;), then you could appreciate the challenge and benefit they can offer.

The drawing shows the measurement in inches, but the numbers begin with a decimal.

the problem with pump tracks is, if you spent all the time you wasted building berms and little jumps you could have a nice six pack of big jumps

ignore the decimals people. you're smart enough to figure this out! (right?) the file woulda been bigger in solidworks if I hadn't done that.

I've got, well, a spot. I'll leave it there.

Lee, I'm going to keep it simple and have nice smooth berms to start with.

ricky, there's plenty of jumps around, but no pump tracks. it's nice to have something different, and it's something that a lot of people can do despite riding skill. plus they're fun as hell.

that's the starter model there. I made a more crazy design too (it's got a 270* berm :bang:), and that's something to aspire to. the cool thing is you can always add new lines onto an existing track. throw a double, hip, etc in where it's fast going for some cheap thrills.

plus, if you're doing it right, you end up doubling a bunch of the rollers anyway.

Chewy, I'm putting you in charge of beer acquisition

    Just a thought...

If you're going counterclockwise, it's easy to take a transition to reverse direction and go clockwise, but there are no transitions from clockwise to counterclockwise. It wouldn't be hard to create a transition that goes across the track in the upper middle near the R84 measurement.

    yes, it probably is. :-$

yeah, I was trying to think of a flowy way to reverse it in that direction. my crazier design has a big X in the middle with a 4-way tabletop in the middle to reverse stuff. this design is way flowier though.

like I said, we're supposed to get some moisture in this week, so I'd like to get moving. drop me a line and we'll work out a day.

Pump tracks are rad. Way more race skills/fitness training oriented than dirt jumps. There are pump tracks around, but the secrets are well kept. Dirt jumps are rad too.
