Lots to think about....still basking in the glow

But....my first thought is :

Ron Artest : See the way I see it they don't win that game without him. That same crazy complete confidence that makes him take bad shots and dribble too much allowed him to be confident last night when Kobe and Pau were tight as drums. He played with confidence and control on both end of the courts.

and of course that could have been the greatest post game interview evvvvvverrrrrrr....

"First all I would to thank everybody in my hood"

and of course the best single line ever...

"... And my Psychiatrist"

But seriously what a long strange road it has been.

Hats Off to the Celts,
Maybe Jerry West had one more demon excised last night,
and
Go Lakers!

Can't wait to read all the articles today.

EDIT : OMG I just heard the Artest Press Conference for the Journalist FREAKIN Hilarious....must find video

Get My Wheaties BOX!!!!
And some of the things he said...and can say .. about Kobe were right one.
He reminds me of a real life Muppet!

I agree. Boy, did I call the game wrong. I thought Kobe would play great "tight" and Artest and Odom would stink it up due to the pressure. Artest (!!!) was the reason they won that game.

Who's his psychiatrist? Someone needs to buy that lady a drink. :drunk:

As good as Artest (!!!) was, the momentum of the game changed when Fish (heck yea, Fish!!) hit his 3 and tied the game with 6 minutes left and then on the next possession stopped the C's, then two FT's later were up by two. Momentum is HUGE in the NBA, especially in the playoffs. That play changed the game.

Also, Kobe's rebounding in the 4th was off the chart. He was getting so high for those balls. Great Stuff to watch!

What a game! Defense kept them in and offense put it away.

@bert, the Lakers are winners, those slackers are a bunch of losers. Every town has got'em.

Lakers fans and Raiders fans have a lot in common.

Ghetto mentality...

The city should just remove basketball from the list until such time that fans can act like human ****ing beings.

Hey all you folks ranting about the "fan" bad behavior..because that is all you have to add...get over it...the "thugs" just need an excuse to do what they want to do, it has little to nothing to do with actual sports or the Lakers.

I suppose they should act like soccer fans. That would be much more dignified.

Riots happen as long as you have dumb arses at these events. Those are a very small % compared to how many real fans celebrated in peace.

Notice how those punks cover there faces. PUNKS, that's what they are and they would've rioted even if the Lakers had lost. Arrest them and fine them for damages or it will keep happening in every town.

BTW....,

That interview was cool! It's making more of an artest fan. If flavor flave can have his own show than Artest should have no problem getting one.

On another note, I really hope the laker's buy out walton's contract and get ariza back if possible. That guy is not worth the 5 year 35 million dollar contract he has.

Who is??? Luke is a smart player, but he was hurt and has been for the last 2 seasons(pinched nerve in lower back). You need players like that to settle things down.

Forget Ariza, he chose not to take what the Lakers offered him(bad agent) which is the same thing the Lakers offered and gave to Artest, a max mid level contract. Ariza ended up with $33 mil over 5 years with Houston. Guess what the Lakers offered him and what Artest got? You guessed it, a 5 year $33 mil contract, but Artest now has a championship ring to go with it.

I have to admit I was so wrong about Artest. I was in disbelief when the Lakers signed him but he has shown his worth throughout these playoffs. Nobody played with more heart than that guy. I still think he's a psycho, but I guess that's not such a bad thing sometimes.

What a weird, but honest guy. Ron talking about how he wasn't good in those clutch moments, but he wanted to be. Called himself a coward in the early part of his career and how he regretted it. Great to see him win and be so forthcoming on his emotions and approach to the game. awesome interviews.

Please do not think that Riots only happen in LA, if you do then you are Myopic.

Newsflash: Hooligans and thugs only use victories or any significant topic (political, sports, injustice) on hand to start rioting and looting. The problem lies a lot deeper (repression and ignorance, for starters) then most realize. Like mentioned above, happens in other cities, other sports and other countries. Don't get your panties in a bunch as we're not unique to this social epidemic.

On another note, I have a lot of respect for Doc Rivers and the way he coached the Celtics but I thought it was a cheap shot to blame the 7th game loss on not having Perkins. Hell, if we're going to look for escape goats, we haven't had a healthy Bynum in all of the playoffs and most of the 2nd 1/2 of the year. In The Finals, he's played only in the first half of games and has been a fraction of his normal dominant self. You didn't hear him or the organization complain and blame losses on his injury! The Lakers and Bynum sucked it up and played through the pain and made no excuses. It's all part of sports. Loose with dignity, Doc. That being said, I still like him, I just thought he was trying to cheapen the Lakers victory.

She and her pet were looting too. All for the sake of The Lakers victory...

That must have been hard to type, I respect you for being a fan of your team. At least you hate the Lakers because you're a Boston Fan versus just hating on them like some people I know.
