Pre-ride the course...I understand that a manufacturer is going to be there to demo the morning of the organized pre-ride on the 5th...8am:

The course looks to be shorter in distance, but more fun with less flats/casual park traffic conflicts in Irvine Park.

    Link to pre-ride info:

I'll be there with my wife, hopefully there will be enough to have groups of all different abilities roll out so that everyone feels comfortable. Also, for those desiring extra-credit to compensate for beverages consumed or yet to be consumed :beer::beer:, you can always show up to roll at 7:15am for an unofficial pre-pre ride....or do more laps after when the heat turns up a bit.

    Bumpity BUMP!

If you have yet to register (or are still in the fence), time is running out...
Still can't believe they are racing at Santiago Oaks. Very very cool! Moderate climbs followed by super-fun descents. What more could anyone ask for!

Best of luck to all the racers! :)

Did I miss a Dino sighting?

Great job to everyone who made it out there! What a fun event! My favorite part was watching the smiling riders race by me, or maybe they were wincing. Whatever, I smiled and laughed the whole time (I wasn't climbing).

Some of the best people in the local mountain biking community were there, but would be great to have more of them. I hope more of you guys make it in October (and that I can, too)! :D

^^I was approached by many racers that Rachel and I were the best cheerers out there - so much ENERGY!!!

Non Dot Adventure Race organizers, please pair Rachel and me at Casper's Race, we're a team that leaves the racers grinning ear to ear ...

That picture should be on a magazine cover…seriously.
It says so much about the diversity in mountain biking. Jesse in a skate helmet and button shirt and John in a full XC kit, who is having more fun? The guy that supports B4B charity or the one that works at a LBS and greets everyone with a sincere smile, You tell me.

What a great race. My wife and I raced our tandem and had a blast. Technically, we weren't racing as we didn't have anyone else in our class, but we still turned ourselves inside out on the climbs, doing our best to stay out of everyone's way. The racers and volunteers were so cool, it really reaffirmed my faith in the fact that SoCal has an awesome MTB community.

If anyone has any pics of us going down "the waterfall" I would love to see them (I saw a few cameras out). Feel free to post them or PM me. Going down that section of Chutes to the chants of "tandem tandem" and the sounds of the cow bells was definitely the highlight of our day.

Thanks again to the Non Dot folks, all the racers, volunteers and rangers for making this the awesome event that it was.
