my prior problem was a few years back on another disc For now im on celebrex I believe its called and doing decompression. Its never completely disabled me until now. seems to be improving but still not able to put any weight on my left. my biggest concern is what I need to do to prevent it.

Danny, yours just sounds so debilitating. So sorry to hear it is so bad right now. You may have seen that my doc told me to get back on the bike, so I feel extremely fortunate. It hurts, but I'm thinking over an ESI to take care of that. We shall see. Good luck, man. I certainly feel for you.

So word on the street is, it not really the back after all. After several hrs at different docs they found a hip fracture. They also found ruptured ligaments that attach to the lumbar cuasing my disc to be inflamed. Its called lumbarsacoral strain. Prognosis 6 to 8 weeks off the bike

That's great news that they found out the cause of it, and it's non-surgical!

Last time mine blew out I didn't take a shower for 4 days and then it was on my hands and knees. Went to a guy named Dr. Young in long beach and got nerve block injections and my leg is a little numb but I don't have anymore pain. That was over 4 yrs ago.

Celebrex is awesome, and I'm glad you got some answers and a prognosis that finally makes sense. So what do they do about the hip? Has it fused or it needs to be fixed?

dang danny I hope things get better bro!! Its weird how the body works. When my sports injury chiropractor told me it was scar tissue in my upper gluteus in my case. Weeks of breaking it down and proper stretching helped tremendously. The glute cause me to walk funny, which cause my spine to be misaligned. My back was so f*cked at times that sitting down to take a dump was an event! Get better bro! So what kinda beer you like? :-k

    TMI! Still funny though!

An old boss of mine walked around for 6 months hunched over until he finally got surgery. He looked like Quasimodo, poor guy.

Thanks Carla. Yea, this whole ordeal has not been fun. But im glad to find my back is ok. Its all stress due to the ligaments that attach to the back. Its a very painful injury for sure. ^^ Yes pooping is quite the challenge. I cant sit, so hoovering my ass above the seat while holding on to the counter is.....lol TMI. I will survive with IPAs. Honestly though, cant drink much with meds. However, one night of good sleep, 3 beers and pain killers. ;)

I had sciatic pain before but it only lasted two days (which at the time felt like an eternity). So I can't even imagine your situation.
