BTW, thanks to all of the volunteers that were out there working so we could play. I also made it a point to thank the rangers that I rode past.

what times were you guys getting?

If I was doing a race of this length, I'd just go lightweight. No point in trying to fix a flat as it is not like a marathon where just the completion of the race is something worthy of putting a sticker on your car.

Yeah, but he doesn't drink beer.

Beer drinker times and guys with leg hair had times starting at 21 minutes...but the middle 50% of the times seemed to be in the 25-30 minute range...all because of Dreaded and Vulture...that's where about 2/3 of the time on course is spent...the downhill gains are measured in seconds. It was kind of cool seeing the train of beginners going up Dreaded from afar...most riding it...probably more people rode dreaded yesterday than do the rest of the year.

Great job by all who participated, put it on, and the vibe at Wahoo's right after during lunch where a lot of us turned up was pretty cool too.

On to Aliso in Mid-May. Can't wait for Mathis twice...or if you're lucky, the Meadows Up-Mentally Down extra credit.

As a beer drinker with hairy legs and baggy shorts, I clocked in at 31:58. I'm slow, but still had fun!
