Tentative plan Sunday is up Blackstar, down TLD trails along Skyline, back up Skyline and over to Motorway. This will be a moderate pace with minimal regroups as I have to get to work that morning:)

Cool, sounds like its along the same route as the BT Invitational that BROWNIE has on the calendar. Any idea on the time you'll be heading out?

Is it working for you now? Shouldn't be any problems. Only thing I can think of is that you happened to check the page while I was in making the updates.

Just curious? I like the idea of the Path putting together rides, but I have yet to ride with them because the couple of times I tried, they didn't show, and according to the website, the rides were not cancelled. I even called once to confirm for a ride that was happening only hours away and they weren't quite sure what was going on. I live in north oc and its a long way to go for noone to show. Is this typical or fluke? thanks

Which ride? If its the Thursday ride I aplogize as our regular ride leader is on the mend- knee issues- so we've lacking a "guide" but this week we have a leader!

Both Sat and Sun rides we do our best to wait for all, the norm is about 10-15 minutes past the posted start time we hit the dirt.

Weather can cancel a ride, even if it may not be posted (and we do our best to post), call the shop for the latest info if there's any doubt about the weather canceling a ride.

Hope that helps and hope to see you on a ride soon!

I've shown up to about half of the Sunday rides over the last six months and The Path have been there 100% of the time. The only ones I skip are the ones in north oc.

Be on time and ask if you have ANY doubt about the exact launch point. Hope you try again!

I have had good experiences in riding with the Path folks. I just wish there would be a bit more detail given in regard to the place where everyone meets up (the trail head). Some folks (like me living in Irvine) don't want to make the trip up to Santa Ana, only to go back to the trail head.

I did a group ride with the Path at Quail Hill, and the site mentioned to meet at the Quail Hill Trailhead. It turned out that the ride lead was parked in a lot across the street. I ran into someone who was at the actual trailhead and they let me know where everyone was gathering. They did send someone to the trailhead just before we left to make sure nobody else was waiting, but I could see how someone might have ended up not being able to find the group. Once we took off, we had an awesome ride - I enjoyed it much more than I do when I go on the same trail by myself.

I also tried to join the group ride up Blackstar 2 weeks ago. I parked at the Christmas Tree lot and the rest of the group was parked at the gate. Not sure if I missed the memo - so I just followed Kimmi ('cause she had a Path jersey on) from the lot to the gate and discovered the rest of the group.

So, in my experience, the rides with the Path folks are great and I appreciate all they do to organize them - just need a bit more detail on where and when the group plans to meet at the trailhead. The ride this Sunday is at Santiago Oaks, but where will the group meet after they leave the shop?

We try to carpool from the shop parking lot and then park at the Santiago Hills Park on East White Oak Ridge and Trails End Lane. Then its a quick pedal up Chapman to Jamboree and in!

In the past we have pedaled from the shop also to Oaks if the group wants to warm up:)
