New to this forum, have been riding for several years on and off due to Military commitments but now i'm retired and plan to be here in Ridgecrest for the near future. Hope to make connections to learn more about the SoCal MTB scene and riding areas.

    Welcome!

There is a ton of good riding in the area.

In the summer I would be sure to check out the trails up near "black rock station" past Kennedy Meadows. There is a pretty major single track trail system up there. It is mostly a moto area but its very beautifull and a fun place to ride. Its the closest cool summer riding near Ridgecrest.

There is also some fun stuff in the Piutes (near weldon). I think some is still closed to the huge fire. I have done a few really fun rides up there since the fire.

And of course there is the well known stuff in the Kern River Valley...Just Outstanding, The Cannel Plunge, The Kern River trail, Mill Creek, etc. I have meet a few riders on the trails (and in the brewery) from Ridgecrest.
