Heh, sadly I don't have that kind of job. I work in the records department with the mail. I have a brainless job that involves processing court documents and delivering them to judges. Wish I had something a bit more suitable to someone with my qualifications, but hey, I'm just happy to have a job with good benefits, you know?
This is just a suggestion to help on a fast recovery.....My doc....DR.Jon Flores...is a sick doc of sports med .. He rehabed my knee from surgery...It was a blown out ACL and dislocated ....BAD News Knee.....And he had me walkin with no limp no crutches on 3 and a half weeks...and back ridin in 8 weeks with full power... He work on the mighty Ducks and in the movies too...So you know he isnt a hack....Give him a call cuz he does all kinds of rehab...and has a gym at the office too... Update, December 7, 2009 Saw my doctor for a follow-up this morning. He decided to have x-rays taken again. This was a good idea. Turns out the (incompetent?) people at the urgent care didn't notice that I have an AC separation. Yay me. It's not a major separation, but certainly explains a lot of my pain and restricted movement. Hip is just bruised badly and there's soft tissue injury. Since I started using the trainer at home this past Friday, my hip has improved some, so I'm going to continue with that. I'm going to try driving for the first time in a couple days. Ought to be very telling in regards to my progress, as my Beetle is a manual, so we'll see how I do with the clutch. The shoulder is going to require physical therapy. Don't know how long I'll be off the trails until I see the physical therapist and ask them. Thanks again to all of you who have been checking in with me. I really appreciate your concern!

Unfortunately, I got the direct blow to the shoulder. (Didn't have time to put my hand out). Okay, I admit it-- I wasn't riding my bike, I was playing rugby. ROFLMAO! :lol: You're sooooo funny!
Depending on the severity of the AC separation it would can be hard to see on a AC separation and typically urgent care is looking for broken bones not things of this nature. Had they found it they wouldn't have done anything different really, they is nothing you can do besides rest for them unless there are higher severity. (I have separated both this year) Pain is the only thing that can keep you from riding(I started maybe 3 weeks after on first but I still had some pain when trying to lift above my head). You will lose some flexibility and strength but I dont know that PT is required. If you have to pay much for it I wouldn't pay for it, but thats me.
Thanks for the input. Between my hip and shoulder, I'll see how I do. I have really good insurance, so I'm not overly concerned about the medical bill At the very least, I can go once to PT and learn how to properly do some strength exercises at home.
