A bunch of my cheap tools rusted inside my toolbox even though everything was completely dry and kept in my house. I'm going to re-cable my Heckler soon and my trusty, now-rusty Sears cable cutters are going to be relegated to zip-tie cutting duty.

Went to grab a Park Tool cable cutter and found they are around $35-40 now. Would these non-bicycle Channel Lock ones be a good substitute?

Would rather get a nice made-in-the-USA tool and its half the price. I find bike specific stuff is usually overpriced for what you get.

EDIT: not going to use my Dremel. It's loud, sends tons of plastic particles into the air when I cut housing. I share a connected townhouse with a roommate and work in my living room, so it's annoying to use.
