Minhster and Nekit we got a piece of your hard earned first day trail in, just a slight diversion from the original, so lap times should be spot on, and everyone will dig the change, adds some fun single track...everybit counts. Should relieve the bottle neck drop to the beach.

next race is 6 days away... let's make some noise!!! :bang:

anyone have any strategies for this race? any goals?

I'm just planning on pushing it this time. Last time I totally just cruised it and wasn't even tired at the end... which explained why I came in last. Pretty sure I can knock off 10-15 mins if not more this time...

Race looks like it will sell out before the weekend. we've got less than 80 spots, leaving 25 for day of registration. lots of great coverage on the race. mbaction posted yesterday's article at http://bit.ly/OvertheHump1

We're looking forward to Tuesday, too. Stay for the bar-b-q and awards afterwards at Irvine Lake. BBQ and beverage...perfect ending to a perfect day...and a bit cooler.

Hans Rey's coming out to kick of the race http://hansrey.com

To my buddies, Permagrin, Sabrina, Freekengo, davidB and Rawhead...

Keep the rubber side down and have a great time!

Last minute training tip: 4 layer double chocolate cake 3 hours before race time makes the hills flat.

    Tops from David Whiting Today...

Hot tips: It's not that difficult, but watch out for some gnarly off-camber turns after a tough but short uphill. Oh, and flow like water. Sounds weird. But it's true.

Top secret: Pick someone who is slightly faster and better than you. Then lock in on their rear wheel. Follow their line. You will be amazed at what a great mountain biker you've just become.
