    This weekend my wife has a Yoga instructors class in Glendale. She doesn't want to stay up there by herself so I am being forced to leave the comforts of my beloved Orange County and stay in a hotel in Glendale. Her class starts at 8am and I can't check in to the hotel until 3pm so I am looking to kill some time any body know of a good place to ride close by?

    Turn, face North, get on bike pedal to the hills.

    Google Brown Mountain, El Prieto, Mt Wilson, Sunset Trail, Lower middle Merrill. There are a dozen trails within biking distance from Glendale. Or show up at JPL parking lot, pay your fee and join the other shuttlers. http://www.socaltrailriders.org/forum/showthread.php?t=71676

    Brown mtn/el prieto is nearby and easy to navigate. I'd offer to show you around but my rear shock is at fox for another week.

    From the OTB website;

    Brown
    Off the 210 Freeway, exit Arroyo/Windsor in Pasadena. Head north 3/4 mile to the comer of Windsor/Ventura, park in the lot on the left side of street. Map

    I'm a transplant from CM, it took me a few months to get over al the easy access trails I left behind but it's pretty cool up here too. Have fun!

    There are trails at the top of Chevy Chase. Many head down to Glendale. Just Google Verdugo mtn trails

    What Dean said. You can also drive up ACH and do Strawberry. Lots of great stuff in the San Gabriel's. Have fun.
