    Ricky,

I rode Tani's Ventana today...it is BAD! It is very similar to my Heckler in terms of geo. With the shorter rear shock on mine the HT is 67, ST is around a 71 I believe and BB is at 12.75. The Ventana would climb better due to the steeper seattube angle. If you want to try my Heckler again you are welcome to. I'm REALLY happy with it, and that is saying something from me as I used to swap bikes every year or so as well.

    Cheers,
    Andy

another thought: isn't there a medium knolly Delerium T hanging in the closeout area at the path? not light, but as huckable as they come. That would be a sick (and jealousy inducing) ride to say the least.

Not sure how much they're selling it for though. not exactly the cheapest frame bought new :-k

iunno how much either. the tag's rotated in such a way I can't read it, and I wasn't about to bug someone about it or start poking the tag with a seatpost to satisfy my curiosity :?:

    sell the pike, get a 36 talas 1.5, or a lyrik 2-step :-k

Ricky, stop playing around and just get the Bottlerocket...you know you want one! I doubt it would be good for 30+ in the saddle though.

ya know, it could be worse. TWO of my friends bought trek EX9s after I did, and it looked really funny when we were all on a ride together. not to mention if we happened to have the same jersey #-o#-o

I couldn't agree more. Mine comes in at 31lbs. But this definitely doesn't qualify for this post if you are looking for sub $1000.00 frames.

I've considered purchasing either the MKIII or the 6.4 from them and then putting the parts on something else and selling the frame and getting the frame I want. I think it's probably not a bad idea, but it is a hassle.

Good luck with whatever you decide.
