how to: add an event to the calender

    How To: Add an event to the calender
    can be used to plan rides, races, trail work, etc


    1. Click on the 'new topic' button as if you're creating another regular topic.

    2. Enter your subject and message body info. Include any info about the event here. Also include contact information if you want people to get a hold of you. This will post a regular topic/thread, only you can also add it to the calender.

    3. Go down to the Calender option.

    "Calender even:" This is the day of the event
    "Event time:" This is the time of day that the event starts. Also note that it uses military time (sorry, I haven't figured out how to change this).
    "During:" (optional) This specifies the length of the event.

    In this example, the event is scheduled for the 5th of November, 2004 at 1pm, and will last 2 hours and 30 minutes.

    4. That's all there is to it! \:D/

    This is what it'll look like on the calender when the mouse is hovered over it.

    Whenever someone clicks the event, they'll be taken to the thread about it where they can reply.




    There are two ways to view the calender.

    The first and easiest is to click the 'calender link' with the arrow on the right hand side of the page. It's available in just about every page on this forum. It brings up a week.

    The second brings up a whole month. Click the 'calender' link at the top.
