    Turner 5 spot 29lbs

05 Turner 5 spot, xt cranks, x-9 derailler triggers, juicy 5 brakes, 09 revelation 140mm shock, rp23, mavic crossmax wheels, nevegal or similar tires, carbon handlebar, thomson seat post, wtb speed seat, odi grips. between 28.5-30lbs depending on tires. I am going with heavier tires now and dont really notice a difference really in the weight. Then again im not racing just out for a good time.

My rigid Soma SS is right at about 22.
    My 5 spot, with a 32 vanilla, dhx5, iodines, and a 2.5 nevegal/2.35 minion is something like 31.

I'm with you on this one mark...wtf?

Mine tend to vary in weight, depending on how many beers I drank the night before eg my 32 lbs heckler often gains about 6 lbs of rotational weight on a Saturday morning but may well have lost it again by the end of the weekend.
Conclusion: bike weight is proportional to beers drank the night before, thereby showing regular scales to be useless. A good tip is to hang the empties off the frame before weighing, as this may help with the relative scale accuracy.

I think we all meant just the bike. a regular scale would be pretty inaccurate as you said so the easiest and most accurate way would be to take it to your bike shop and let them hang it in their digital hang scale thing..

Ps: for some reason i brought my hanger from Brasil and its in Kilos hahaha.. so yeah..

to me, there is a difference between a light bike and a light body. I love the feeling of my top fuel accelerating out from under me as I climb. However, while I can ride steeper/tech trails with the light bike, it's half as fun...
