Hey, I'm James. I just moved to the LA area from Texas, going to be living in Woodland Hills. I've been riding for 4 years now. I've been doing XC and Enduro races for the last couple of years. I haven't ridden any of the trails yet. I'm open to suggestions. I have a few questions as well:

    1) How do i get involved with the local trail building crew?
    2) Where can I find group rides? (or if anyone wants to show me a few trails)
    3) What are racing series around here?
    4) Where are the local dirt jump stuff at? (I know some people don't like to share this)

Yeah, I will be browsing around the fourms, so I may answer my own questions. Look forward to meeting some of the locals!

Aloha. Welcome. Bienvenidos. Your local trails are from Reseda Blvd west. The further west you go the better they get.
Here we rate trails by the climb and the rate of climb or the drop and rate of drop. Head north on Topanga to Rocky Peak and enjoy some highly technical lines, some are scary fast.
    Happy trails.

BTW night riding time is here so the trails are open all night. Our most active group is North Ranch Mountain Bikers

Kenter Whoops trail, (google Kenter trail) is made for those whom like established man made launches. Big air natural style can be found off Rocky Peak Road (home to the gravity challenged)

Sweet, yeah I'll check it out. I'll start appearing on some of these group rides in the next couple of weeks. I'm still getting settled in....i'd rather be riding though.
