    Sup.

My name is James and I am a bike mechanic. I have worked 3 years in the industry at a couple SoCal shops and jumped on the MTB thing way too late. While I am a roadie deep down on the inside, I have been riding my Stumpy more and more and have been loving every minute of it. I definitely prefer XC to anything too technical, but am willing to learn. I (sort of) recently competed in my first ever race (Knobby Time series) and finished 2nd overall in the beginner group for my age. Good times.

My typical rides are Marshall and Monroe, but will hit Bonelli from time to time. I should be moving to Mission Viejo soon and look forward to learning the trails in that area.

My first love is music. Jazz specifically. I received my bachelor's in Music Performance for the saxophone. Other hobbies include beer, home-brewing, video games, and hockey.

    Lets go riding!

Welcome! I too go by the name James and also raced at Knobby Time (30-39). Mission Viejo is an excellent area and puts you close to some awesome trails, such as Aliso Woods, Whiting Ranch and The Luge.

Are you looking at competing in any of the upcoming XC races?

Moving to MV? Welcome from Trabuco Canyon. There are so many good trails east and west of you. You will be amazed at the variety of trails. Winters bring night rides to the luge and big rides in the Santa Ana's. Summers are great to head west and hit Aliso, El Moro and LCWP. All of this is accessible from your front door with a few road miles in between.
