Golden Eagle Trail needs some Trimmin'

    Mikie when's the next maint session?

    Hey Mikie - rode Golden Eagle again today with bunch of guys from the Tecate team from Conejo Valley (much faster than I am). conditions were ideal and the parts of trail you whacked are still primo! I ran into a few other guys from Santa Clarita and they want to help finish up the lower part and the one piece at the top. Let me know a week or so in advance for the next trail maint day and I'll be there with help. Can't tell you how much all appreciated your work with the Beast.

    Don't get out that way often and last time I rode it was about 9 months ago. Very glad to see that trail get some love'in.

    FYI, Mike Grace of Bicycle Johns in Santa Clarita, has purchased trail building, and maintenance tools, which he will lend out to people as long as he gets them back. Next group who goes up should check it out.

    I'm in Dave!
    We could do it next week if you want. As long as we can do Monday, Tuesday, or Wednesday, I'll arrange my schedule to accomodate whatever day you guys pick. With a small army of guys we can definitely finish it up in a day.

    I was thinking it would be cool to cut a connector trail to the upper section. Something hanging a right, swinging south to maybe add a mile to the trail. Something cool. But that's for later.

    I'll tune up "THE BEAST" I owe it that, and I promised Un-Clipped In that I would.

    I got my front shock back on Friday. I may even get to go on a ride . . . . NICE!

    I PM'ed you about this comming Wednesday, potentially doing up the rest of GE. Who are the guys from Santa Clarita? Are they still in for knocking this out. Need to know asap so I can set up. Winter is comming and I would love to get a group ride in on GE maybe a couple of times before it's too late. Let's finish this up and rock some rides!!!
