i feel like i've just gotten used to the loose/sandy conditions this month, but i'd love for a good rain to clean off all the trails. and, of course, it would be cool to see emerald falls flowing again...

Rode the Santa Anas today, it was one of the worst rides I have had all summer and it was all do to the heat. I ride much better in 30-50 degree weather.

Yeah, october is usually hotter than August to me, then November brings on the wind. Still beats feet of snow or lots of humidity but with no daylight left night rides are pleasant enough.

I haven't ridden in temps over 50 in over a month. Most have been in the 30s with a couple of lucky high 40 days thrown in as a tease.

I'm in Florida now and the forecast for tomorrow: Low 34/High 56

I love the cold, but getting all bundled up to ride everyday gets a little old. I understand now why so many East Coasters just ride the trainers all winter.

You could always come vist the SE US. Low of 29 tonight, High of 50 tomorrow, 30 tomorrow night.

Tomorrow's night ride will be a little bit nippy.

I have to admit that this year was the first time ever that I uttered the words "I can't wait for winter." I love the heat, the hotter the better but after the Xterra race in May I swear I can't take it anymore, it's really strange. And with the cooler temps my feet and hands always get cold...

we NEED rain! Has anyone noticed any dust or a little sand lately? Like Doug said, pretty soon we'll be whining about the mud and not being able to ride! (for the 6 weeks of fall/winter) Let's ride and enjoy it!
We could live in Arizona where it's too hot to ride for 3 months and too cold to ride for 3 months!
We need a little positive vibes around here people!
