why not check out the fuji thrill lt 1.0? ive been looking at it and it seems really nice. it has a rock shox domain and ario 2.2 rear shock. full slx group. $2000 at performance and you get double points all this month when you buy a fuji bike so thats like $400 back as store credit. special order so parts to make it nicer and lighter. (fork, rear shock, wheels)

denmother: I wonder why you have not posted any review about your Uzzi or you have not recommended it as a DO IT ALL?... :-k I wanted to compare it with my SS if it would really be worth the switch...

    PM sent!

I love my Uzzi. It climbs much better since I put the air shock on it. It weighs in at 32lbs. I run a Fox Van 36, 2 chain rings and a Stinger.

Stay away from the GT Sanction [-X Pieces of you know what. The "wishbone" and I drive set up is worthless and needs lots of TLC. I ended up selling mine and getting a Specialized Big Hit:bang: Not an All-Mountain or Freeride but I can still climb with it although very very slow and painful. Good luck choosing a bike and make sure you demo before you buy.

The Giant and the Santa Cruz have the same suspension, the only difference is the rear wheel travels differently. That is why Giant's suspension is called the Maestro instead of VPP. I have an 05 Reign and it has the 69.5 HA and I could not ask for a better climbing bike for the travel. It has more of an XC feel to it. Also the Giant is cheaper.

Actually these aren't the same. When Giant reconfigured their setup Santa Cruz actually made them make changes to it because it was too similar. What they came up with is arguably better than VPP but the two are not the same as it stands now.

Okay. That is why SC made them change their suspension because they were basiclly the same dual link suspension infringing on the VPP patent. The rear wheel is basiclly the difference on the 05 models.

I remember hearing that the Uzzi climbs very well for the beast that it is.

Does MTNBIKEBILL have the uzzi? For some reason, I recall saying how he was impressed with the climbing capabilities. He seems to be a semi reliable source :)

The Bullit gets some interesting reviews. Sounds like it's a bit sketchy coming down. I haven't ridden one to verify this so this is second hand info.

The Heckler is still one of the best single pivot rides out there. I don't think you can go wrong with it. My next build is either going to be a Nomad or a Heckler.

Well actually, if you are thinking Santa Cruz, get the V10.
Greg Minaar climbs on it like it's a trail bike, haha.

The current Maestro is actually a rip off of an early dw link.

Same boat. Looking at the Reign X or a Nomad. Any thoughts? I've owned a Trance 2, Reign 2, Glory 0, and a Glory DH so I'm leaning towards the Giant but am open at this point.
