If you believe that non-sense then you should also believe that Jeremy London was kidnapped, forced to smoke crack and drink all night long in Palm Springs last summer. Yeah, that's a ticket.
This new droid looks pretty cool. http://www.phonescoop.com/articles/article.php?a=9223 "Verizon Wireless and HTC today announced the Rezound, the first Android smartphone to include integration with Beats Audio technology for the U.S. market. Features of the Rezound include Long Term Evolution 4G, 4.3-inch 720p HD display, and both Beats Audio software and a set of Beats Audio headphones that work together to produce a better music experience. Other specs include a dual-core 1.5GHz processor and 1GB of RAM; 8-megapixel camera with f/2.2 lens, action burst, dual-LED flash and 1080p HD video capture; and 2-megapixel user-facing camera. It will ship with 16GB of internal storage and a 16GB microSD card. According to HTC, the Rezound will be updated to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich in early 2012. The HTC Rezound will be available for sale starting November 14 for $299.99 with a new agreement."
What's with these new price points for these phones?!? They're just gouging us for whatever they can get! 229,259, 299$?!?! 199 was the normal premium smartphone price. It may be worth it if your phone is over 1.5 years old or so, of course depending what phone you have
Still, some of these other phones don't have "extras" and they are over 200$. IMO if I want to hear high quality sound I wouldn't listen on my phone.
The days of the mp3 player, point and shoot camera's, and camcorders are numbered. Soon they will go the way of the walkman and the portable compact disc player. Phones like the androids and the iphones are rapidly filling those roles. They are not quite there yet but at the rate they are going they will be there very soon.
It looks like he dropped it and then put it to his ear with broken glass hanging off of it. It is highly unlikely it "exploded". The Lipo batteries don't explode, they melt down and burn if mistreated.
If you're buying android, you'd be foolish not to go with a Samsung (or other manufacturer, if they've started yet) due to the AMOLED screen. If you have not seen AMOLED in person, you should. Personally, I'm really looking at the Galaxy "Note" that's coming out soon. 5" screen (yes, it's huge), super thin, higher resolution DPI than the iphone 4/4s, and the ability to use a built in pen to draw and take notes.
Does anyone have a newer htc phone and have used mytracks for your rides? I used it on my old G1 and it was pretty good. Just wondering how accurate the GPS works on the newer htc phones.
I just got the HTC Evo Design 4G. I've only have had it for a couple of hours now but so far it's been way better than my last android the LG Optimus S. It's way faster, better operation, Higher resolution camera with LED flash.
FYI: Smart phones can make you act stupid.. http://gizmodo.com/5859673/listen-to-this-drunk-idiots-911-calls-over-broken-iphone
I've had the iPhone 3GS for 2.5 years. Loved it. Upgrade came and I got a new droid. Took it back in 3 days. Got a new Samsung infuse. Took it back in a week. Got an iPhone 4s. Won't be trading this in. Sorry, I love my iPhone. Those androids kept doing forced shutdowns, not working, and had terrible service for some reason. Probably all the porn I look at.
it's like... windows or mac? briefs or boxers? shimano or sram? it's completely a personal preference... I know android's force close, but I can customize it or tweak it to my liking, I have Full advantage of every google apps... just my .02
Repeating my original question, anybody use mytracks on a newer htc phone? Would appreciate a reply related to the question. Thx
Sorry, I can't answer specifically for the HTC, but I can say this about mytracks and Android in general. It keeps the GPS on full time while tracking you, and uses Google maps full time so it's a bit of a battery pig. I was on the hunt for a map/gps tracking app that I could ride all day with, so I've tried a lot of them. Strava was also resource heavy with mobile data uploading, and using maps. Shockingly, Endomondo works pretty good. Mobile data is not required while using it. and (sacrificing resolution) it turns the GPS on/off as needed. For mapping, I bought and paid for Everytrail Pro. It lets you download the map to your phone and doesn't require mobile data at all to run. GPS is pretty good. battery life seemed to be more affected by keeping the screen on than just tracking. And there is a free version. For accuracy, and real battery life, get a Garmin..
