hah, unless you want a second one. Basically, I order machines for my customers, and they dont want the monitor.. so I keep them and sell them separately. I have another one on order, probably be here in a week or two

 

I have gateway 22 inch HD DCDi monitor.. so I think it possible be best to run same so it looks same quality?

 

Yeah, the color may be slightly off, based on contrast, backlight etc.. best to get two of the same if you need it to be similar.. esp for production vid/photography..

then i should do the same montior.. Although I do want to upgrade the memory/video/driver.. I have sony vegas pro program, and it needs alot more than what my main can carry.

 

you should be calibrating your monitors if your serious about anything anyways!, but yeah two different monitors would bother me

Well, I can help you upgrade your whole pc or just whatever components.. what is your budget?

Memory is dirt cheap.. Check newegg.com for memory and video card..

If you are running Windows XP/2000 Pro, then you will be able to have a max of 3GB memory usable.. if you are running vista/xp 64 bit, then you can run as much as 16 gigs.. Vid card, anything GeForce is pretty good.

Do you game with it as well?

I dont play games on computers, only PS3 lol.. and it is windows vista..

I also am not having two screens just for video production, also for Soild Works designing suspensions etc for off road vehicles.

 

22" would be perfect for WAV editing :bang: that way I wouldnt be scrolling too long from left to right :lol:

 

Gotcha. More desktop space makes all the difference..

I am on the Dell 30" myself.. running 2560x1600 resolution, its amazing how much I can do with that much more space.

Think the two monitors would work out pretty good for you.. check the reviews on it and let me know what you are thinkin
