There's an awesome shot of a Laguna trail that many of us know (or have heard of) but not quite as many have the balls to tackle it.. Great pic of a very sketchy section of the trail..

It's pretty sick.. that section in the pic has to be one of the most outrageous you've seen when you see it in person.. the right hander that follows shortly after isn't much better.. not sure if my PPO or my wife would appreciate me attempting to clean that trail :) oddly enough Ryan is the one bugging me for months to take him on it but I just can't see myself letting him anywhere near it anytime soon.. way toooo much penalty for the slightest mistake.. if you wanna hit it sometime I'd be happy to escort you..

Kinda silly that it's okay on Pinkbike but not okay on here. What's the harm in a picture or a video if the name of the trail isn't mentioned? If you recognize it then you're riding it anyways and if you don't recognize it, your not.

Don't take what leniency you have now for granted. It's too bad that people don't realize how good they have things until it's taken away, due to irresponsibility and foolishness.

Do you or anyone else know what the major reasons are why such trails are illegal?

BTW, Mike West is still with Yeti. Mike West has turned into an exemplary spokesperson for mtn biking after he learned better from that incident. Emphasis on after he learned better. I consider Yeti's actions as responsible

Pfft, that's just a cover-your-ass press release from Yeti. It's all for show.

The real reason you don't want trails like that labelled all over the internet is to keep noobs off of them. People riding over their heads and having to get rescued will cause access issues, not experienced riders riding responsibly (and inconspicuously). I grumble about it a little and sometimes think it's silly policy, but can you imagine the absolute shitshow if one of the newbie rides accidentally got themselves on that trail?

oh, and the pic was pretty cool. thanks for posting the link to it!
